Imam Khomeini was completely dominant over his teaching profession; before coming to the class he would study hard and was fully prepared to the class discussions.
During lectures and presentations if he was asked any question, raised by the theology students, or encountered an objection, he would answer with full authority.
When I was at his class, I do not recall a single time that he had said he would go to study a particular case and give the answer later.
Typically, the Imam would give his immediate answer to any question right there in the class. Of course, there was a reason to it and that was Imam Khomeini’s power of repartee and amazing intelligence.
